Close Window History: Some background information about PMT

Despite the fact of a quite lively Jazz scene in and around Trier, there was no label before 2005 for Jazz, Blues, Rock and improvised music. In order to fill this gap, in 2004 the section ‘Jazz Label’ of the Jazz-Club Trier e.V. was founded.

In 2005, we received the ‘Label Code’ LC-15326 (which is — in Germany — essential in order to run a professional label) by producing our first CD, a live recording of the annual (‘Jazzgipfel’ festival) which took place in Tuchfabrik Trier (TUFA). Before, we had set up a competition at Fachhochschule Trier, section Communication Design (Prof. Andreas Hogan) for developing a coherent Corporate Design for all our products. The winner was Dominik Hofer, and he also made the first couple of our CD covers.

In January and February 2006, we organised an exhibition of the graphic drafts in Tuchfabrik Trier (TUFA). — It started January 20th 2006 with a short speech, live Jazz music and a glas of good wine. For the Finissage February the 5th 2006 we especially invited our sponsors.
